In this book 18 Danish women look back at their own encounters with motherhood, being or not being a mother, admiring their mothers and much more: Hanne Helth, Hanne Feldthus, Ida Hoeck, Anne Land, Birgit Buddegård, Ilse Diederichs, Kirsten Brabrand, Vivian Jørgensen, Anne Kühnell, Anne Hjælmsø, Ulla Nerenst, Lisbet Kjær Müller, Anne Møller, Gretelise Holm, Anne-Grete Nicolaisen, Jytte Aagot Møller and Anne Christen Hansen
The contributors to this anthology hope to inspire a global awareness about the importance of supporting and maintaining respect for motherhood while encouraging equality dimensions. It is suggested that the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights be amended to reinforce these perspectives.
